Justice for Children entered into partnership with Oxfam in a Project titled "Ensuring the respect, protection and promotion of the rights of survivors of sexual abuse and violence." The Project focuses in Harare and Chitungwiza with an objective to:
- Ensure the implementation of laws and policies that protect survivors and witnesses of sexual abuse and violence and accountability from stakeholders.
The project is aimed at documenting the realities of girl survivors of sexual abuse and violence. Justice for Children facilitated the production of a documentary in titled “Raising her voice” in the form of a booklet and a DVD which showed the challenges faced by survivors of sexual abuse and violence. The documentary is being used as a tool to engage with law and policy makers and in trainings with stakeholders. The organisation has also scaled up its efforts to offer legal support to child survivors of abuse.
