The organization held twenty four (24) capacity-building workshops in Harare and Bulawayo (19 and 5 respectively) for CFPs, caregivers, youths, teachers, community leaders and children as well as other Civic Society Organisations (CSOs) that deal with children’s issues. The workshops were carried out to strengthen people’s capacity in children’s issues as well as sensitise them on their roles in child protection. Issues covered in these workshops included child protection, IEC material development, gender based violence, documentation and case management. Participants were also trained on the child rights provisions enshrined in the New Constitution. The table below shows the number of people reached through capacity building workshops.
